Liquid Force Envy (2012) Hot
Rock solid stability, directional float, pivotal turning and effortless re-launch highlight the Envy’s “beyond delta” design for all around performance. This ultra lightweight three strut platform gives light, responsive bar feel with impulse pivotal turning. The Envy’s flight characteristics blend to produce a distinct “set it and forget it” feel. This makes it the perfect kite for everything from progressive wave riding to kite low freestyle domination. Land a jump a bit too hot, under run the kite in a bottom turn… forget about it! The Envy’s lightweight design allows the kite to float directionally, enabling you to forget about the kite and concentrate on the important issues: making grabs, spotting landings and reading waves straight into the pit.

Great info about Liquid force
I weight 175 lbs and ride for a little more than a year. I stop my choice on Liquid Force because I was irritated from continuously breaking my previous kite. In this matter, Liquid Force did not disappoint at all! I keep crashing it and all my Envy kites has so far remained in one piece. The learning was fairly easy thank to the bellow bar depower allowing almost 100% depower. It also works fine when dirty by sand compared to my previous above the bar system. This system has only one but; the more you get pulled, the more impossible it impossible to depower the kite. The Maxflow valve works fine! It deflate the kite in second perhaps I give a mark of 1 over 5 mark for the Liquid Force ''super'' pump. The last doesn't help to inflate it any faster since its internal mechanism who creates huge air flow restriction. If you use any other pump and THEN you will see the difference! Finally, Liquid Force has not the best spare parts service compare to other brand. Overall, Great Kite!
At A Glance
The Liquid Force Envy is the all round machine in their range. Aimed at the rider who wants a kite that can do it all, whilst making kitesurfing easy. Liquid Force calls the Envy a “beyond Delta design and it features a fairly swept back shape to it’s profile, the Diamond Shape tips add to this. It is a simple three-strut design aimed at being lightweight to improve the flying characteristics. The bridle is fully integrated and a little more complex than found on some kites. Indeed the rear lines are integrated into the bridle as opposed to connecting directly to the kite. Build quality is excellent, union struts, segmented leading edge and plenty of reinforcements in all the right places. All Liquid Force kites feature the Max Flow inflation system; until you’ve tried it you won’t believe it. You can inflate the kite in seconds with minimum effort! On top of those innovations there is also plenty of attention to detail. The Envy reeks of quality whichever way you look at it!
This is a polished bit of kit in itself, the floats and winders are integrated into each other to create a clean look Simplicity runs deep here, the trim is integrated into the chicken loop and the release mechanism is very effective and easy to reset. There is a moveoblo stopper ball and the depower line has plenty of throw to ensure you can ditch the power when needed.
In the Air
The Envy feels very stable and solid, a great platform to launch your assault from it inspires confidence. The depower range from the bar throw is very impressive, the integrated rear lines into the bridle giving you more depower than a standard rear line connection. This gives you the ultimate control at the bar in gusty conditions. It does mean the turning isn’t quite as direct as some, but the Envy is no slouch and responds to input from the bar well. Once engaged the kite can be turned on a sixpence, pivoting around its axis with zero canopy flutter, a sign of a well built airframe. The low-end range is impressive, the Envy develops a lot of power as you fly it around the window. The bridle then helps to assist the kite with it’s top end range, adjusting the angle of attack but still ensuring the kite steers. Jumping is great fun, plenty of power to launch you and good hangtime. Upwind is excellent too and the kite is easy to fly lending itself to a wide range of riders. The bar pressure is a little heavy, a symptom of the bridle system used, but it isn’t overwhelming or a reason to not man up and build some muscle strength!
Amazingly well built, with lots of attention to detail, very stable in the air, plenty of control at your fingertips and a good low end. Against
We could argue that the complicated bridle set up was a bit much, but it is this bridle that gives the kite its control and range, there ore no real complaints hero.
You won’t be disappointed, it’s a great all round kite that comes with some fantastic features, like the Max Flow inflation system. You’ll be out on the water in seconds with a great big smile on your face!
Super nice kite.
This is my second kite. I'm pretty new kiting, a year now, but I ride twice a week. My previous kite was a 2008 Best Waroo. Let me tell you this. It's a different sport. I bought the all-included package whit harness and a 136 edge board.
Awesome. The firs think you will note is how fast it gets ready to fly, and the light it is. The backpack is rock solid, nice design, big enough.
The bar is also super nice and comfortable. The bar pressure is super light compared to my Waroo!
You can literally ride 6 hours non-stop , that comfortable it is.
The Deluxe Harness is super nice too, I like it.
The board is ok for a beginner board. Works like a charm on light wind (12-15Knots) Nice to handle waves, no so nice for big jumps, its too big for that. But a great all-around board.
Again about the kite itself. SUPER Light on the air! REally fast for a 12, no kidding here. GREAT WIND RANGE! I was out there with 26-28 Knots and it goes perfect. And I ride it with 12Knots and even it's no great, you can ride wile others are still at the beach.
Great hanging time, This kite gives you so much confidence, it's awesome.
Graphics are sick! Finally a really good looking kite.
Go and get yours.

All round kite & high quality
We have been using the Envy in the school for the last 3 years now and for a number of reasons:
Brilliant construction, the toughest available, by a mile!
Direct feel and responsive turning
Huge and smooth depower range
Fast though the air with its thin struts and leading edge
Excellent performance, especially for wakestyle and in the waves
The 2012 Envy has a slightly different bridle with the middle attachments no longer meeting in the middle and the wingtips are slightly more swept back, this has given the kite even better re-launch and also more de-power.
If you are looking for an all around kite that has the highest quality build available then the Envy is perfect!

I'm not very experienced, only 2 yrs. I had 12m Cabrinha SB 2011 and now I have 12m + 9m LF envy. I didn't try 9m, but 12m was very super for me. It was super easy and I think it is very light. Last I bought Cabrinha everyone said, it's the best. But I'm very sorry, I like Envy much more. Maybe it's easier for beginner, who I am, but I said what I think.
